This is retarded. From the battle reports, I don't like the game already. The Terran buildings and units look like fucking Anime and Warhammer 40K ripoffs.

They were mocking their own game on Youtube - they are well aware how similar it is to the first game: same units, same look, same style of combat, etc. They introducing a few new units and changed the balance to make it feel different but to the average gamer, it's just Starcraft in 3D.

Hmm... We had Duke Nukem 3D that was kickass, but...
This isn't a Starcraft 2, theres bloody fucking nothing new whatso ever in terms of gameplay (Yeah wow its 3D, you can't shooterz thru hills now) but still, its Starcraft with a 40K DoW feel! It should be called
Starcraft3D - Episode 1:Cause WoW fails
Does anyone know about them spliting the games into 3 episodes for each race campagin!!!! (40 Pounds/ 50$ for each game, way too expensive!!)

There use to be a way... How you could exploit LAN to get into B.net ages back But it don't work no-more... lol (uses for piratecopies ages back lmao)
However, they MUST ADD a manual connection gametype, IPX/TCP Connection type, otherwise Multiplayer would never work, every game i know at least has a manual IPX connect or that... even some modern games do! I think Team Fortress 2 does i can't remember, but still... If Blizzards gonna do that, anyone who plays *coughcoughWoWcoughcoughfailscoughcough* will expect a higher sub price in the next few years whilst they are recovering from losses from SC2 or Starcraft ///|3D|\\\

I am sure, that there will be some mods or false Battle-net servers, where you can play without real Battlenet. It happened with WoW also.
Anyway it is very risky step from Blizzard. Lot of players started to play Starcraft because it was fun to play with friends on LAN parties...

For me Starcraft 2 also not seem so revolutionary as WoW was. It seems, that they don't want to make it that way, only make a "modern" Starcraft...

Default Doh!

What a retarded thing to do. A HUGE part of Starcraft's attraction was LAN playing. Geez Blizzard, didn't you even bother to look at all the modern hugely-successful games that have a similar feature? PvP is all the rage!

I have a bad feeling that this sequel is going to royally stink.

I said it before: Blizzard smelled money and now they want more of it. While I respect their earlier games, only the Diablo series was really an original move. Warcraft: Dune 2 rip off, WoW: Everquest rip off, etc.

Starcraft didn't even get such great reviews at first - it was too similar to Warcraft 2 for many but it had a good single player story, very diverse factions and a good balance (after some patches). I already knew that the sequel would be almost identical - it's how Blizzard works. If something sells, don't change it.

I can't really blame them for wanting to make money. But crippling a game like that is just a kick in the balls of every gamer. We'll see where this ends.

Well I think Blizzard is trying to force Koreans to buy it. Most Koreans were playing pirated copies after all. By itself, no big deal, but it shows how little they care for everyone else except the money .
