For me, this game seems obscenely tough. I can't even find how to get into the first cave! The children in the town pelt me with stones because I murdered some of them. Why? Why me?

But only because I keep getting in these dang encounters with them! They wont leave me alone. And once, I was stuck in a cycle of being eaten by rabbits. They would Unko me, and then I'd heal, and as soon as I woke up BAM unko again.

If you are talking about the cave in highpool talk to the kid in the southwest corner and ask him about the cave, dog and jackie. Use perception and then the space to locate the cave(across the creek) and then use rope & space key to climb into the cave. k:
Just because you slip on the rocks in the creek and the kids laugh at you doesn't mean you have to CAP them. Unless you want to

That restore thing doesn't work. Seems like it would only if you have the game on disk or CD.

Oh, by the way, this game is on E-bay now. Asking for more than $100!

Along the left cliff at Camp Highpool...

Just use your perception skill everywhere until you find it...

You'll need a rope to get down into the cave though.

Now for the reason I'm here:

What's your favourite method of training your characters to obscenely high levels?

I like getting everybody's gambling skill to 8 at the Desert Nomads and then using the Skill Point bug to raise my gambling skill by 1 point for free every time I gain a level.

Once my luck is 20+ and my Gamble is 13+, I'll go to Fat Freddy's, program a macro to gamble in a loop, use a small but heavy object to hold down the F1 key, go to sleep for a while, and check how many levels I've gained when I wake up...

There's an even better way than that, but it only works well if at least 3 characters have a swim skill of 3 or lower...

Unfortunately, almost all of my party has a Swim of 4 or 5.
