Im going to add my 5 cents...
Personally I like the ShoutBox, people take like 5 hours to respond anyway, and you can see whether the person is infact online because the online list is right next to the shoutout box, surely that heaps with confusion? Removing the Name option wouldn't help, people would just type their name infront of their message for easier reference anyways. I think if something major happened, it could easily be cleared up by the person saying no, I did not write this. Its a good way for casual questions to be answered, yes I do agree I would not like someone to pretend they where me and say random things so that when I went to post people had reserved thoughts about me.... but if a member that read this really knew me (as most of you know each other) Im sure they would know it was in fact not me by the style and words that the post contained. In short keep the ShoutBox!! Closing down something so informal would be a real shame... Stop worrying people!!  k: |
