Hey Doubler, thanks for show us your creativity. I know that this a forum for your writing but I want to put a Antonio Machado's poem that I like it very much:

A JOSÉ MARÍA PALACIO

Palacio, buen amigo,

entré las grises pe?as,
y blancas margaritas
entre la fina hierba?

Por esos campanarios
ya habrán ido llegando las cigüe?as.

Habrá trigales verdes,
y mulas pardas en las sementeras,
y labriegos que siembran los tardíos
con las lluvias de abril. Ya las abejas
libarán del tomillo y el romero.

?Hay ciruelos en flor? ?Quedan violetas?

Furtivos cazadores, los reclamos
de la perdiz bajo las capas luengas,
no faltarán. Palacio, buen amigo,

?tienen ya ruise?ores las riberas?

Con los primeros lirios
y las primeras rosas de las huertas,
en una tarde azul, sube al Espino,
al alto Espino donde está su tierra...

and the translation into english:

To Jośe Marίa Palacio

Palacio, good friend,
is spring there
showing itself on branches of black poplars
by the roads and river? On the steeps
of the high Duero, spring is late,
but so soft and lovely when it comes!
Are there a few new leaves
on the old elms?
The acacias must still be bare,
and the mountain peaks snow-filled.
Oh the massed pinks and whites
of Moncayo, massed up there,
beauty, in the sky of Aragon!
Are there brambles flowering,
among the grey stones,
and white daisies,
in the thin grass?

On the belltowers
the storks will be landing now.
The wheat must be green
and the brown mules working sown furrows,
the people seeding late crops,
in April rain. There’ll be bees,
drunk on rosemary and thyme.
Are the plum trees in flower? Violets still?
There must be hunters about, stealthy,
their decoys under long capes.
Palacio, good friend,
are there nightingales by the river?
When the first lilies,
and the first roses, open,
on a blue evening, climb to Espino,
high Espino, where she is in the earth.

Good job Doubler! Cheers for everybody

Ok, here's a new one.
Yes, it's a new one
A personal one, too... Sorry for that, but I just felt the need to post it.
(Guess I'm a bit strange from time to time too)

Quote:
And now I wonder,
* did I really believe I could forget?

As I saw you again today,
* with a stare as a glimpse,
and I was bound to feel the same.
With an unexpected lack of regret,
* as if it had changed
because the same it did stay.

But will that alter
* my point and standing?
Affect me, all the same?
To end the winter in spring,
* and begin spring as summer’s being set?
To end within morning with the day that comes after?

As to this old but newfound path to bliss
* there must be a question that leads the way,
like a word to open the door.
An end to a secret as longingly kept
* within this heart that is mine.
To end the longing which I longed to miss.

And now I wonder...
It's been a long time, and I'm propably a bit rusty. Feedback is much appreciated

It's currently untitled, by the way.

Cheers
-Doubler

PS. Cbo, how about PM'ing me one or two more pieces from that writer?

Time for something, errr... Old.
Quote:
For a girl I knew* *

Forever bound,
* silver bewitchment.
Feeling sound,
* with an eternal commitment.
And I dreamt you would meet me there.

My dreams never awoke,
* a never faded calamity.
The final killing stroke,
* then I reached out of the complexity.
And my heart holds the tale.

Now the feeling has past on,
* and my truth is that I lied.
For today you’re probably forever gone,
* but I don’t know if my love for you has truly died.
But I guess it was your choice.

Now, I will remember you evermore,
* the one to drag me out of darkness, how can I forget?
Whether my dream will ever come true is unsure,
* but at least I’ve got a sense of what I might or might not get!
Girl, I loved you sure and true.

I wish you happiness,
* and I wish you the best of life.
All I really wanted was for you to live in bliss,
* but I guess for that you did, too, strive.
Farewell.
And to go back to the darker ones:
Quote:
Running to see it all.

So the sky above a cloud weeps.
And in the early morning dew I wander,
* aimlessly.
Feeling upside down and inside out,
* I recall being complete.

So the sun during the darkest night weeps.
And in the dark light I contemplate,
* concealed.
Thinking about thinking about,
* I’m sleeping.

So air in muffled caverns weeps.
And in the clarity of my blindness I speak,
* silence.
Speaking of remorse while feeling true,
* I seem to travel to fly.

So the stars in daylight weep.
And in twilight I fall
* away.
Sensing time but having the past,
* I exist but as my nightmare.

So the dark side of the moon weeps.
And without vigour or health I’m never sick,
* or dying.
Gaining health from sickness,
* I live to live both and die.

But so my universe smiles.
And in the light of resistance I run,
* laughing.
Running to feel life and love and my very heart,
* I run to see it all.*
Hope you're still with me

Hehe, four new pageviews since I posted that previous message. :P
Oh well, stubborn old me...
I'd like to post a couple of avatars I 'made' for different forums. Maybe that would spark some interest

No, I wish I could
That's the reason for the ''s around the 'made' :P
I just cut them out of original pictures... They're just very simple. There's no talent involved, but they do for me
