It would be cool if you guys could add patches to Strife on this site. I've updated it to v1.31 and it works fine.

There's also an important issue that should be mentioned in game review (because it currently says something in contrary) - starting with game version 1.3 you can save to any of the 6 savegame slots. This makes gameplay more "user-friendly"...

One important warning though - this game wasn't meant to do that trick - all savegames were to be, let's say, "progressive". Let's imagine you completed the game once, now wanting to start again - if you use that old savegame slot, some data will be retained from previous gameplay session! Like: the quest items will be gone! So if you plan to overwrite a savegame slot which already contains game state ahead of your current game (e.g.: you're just starting the game, while the slot has old save from the endgame) delete manually the contents of savegame slot directory.

I've learned this the hard way: the game stores savegame info in separate files for each area. Only areas you've visited already are updated, so if there are files with other areas as well, these are left intact, moving over the game state from the old save! Read: important items gone!
