Personally I would prefer the site not to be very strict on this, as there are several excellent games that have been commercial titles before, but have been released as freeware by their creators (like Teen Agent here). With GTA an exception has been made, and I think there are other worthy ones.

I agree, it'd be nice to have some cool freeware games that are out there, there are some good ones.

I heard with Beneath a Steel Sky, that Revolution allowed some sites like ScummVm allowed to host the game.

They do link to ScummVm, but if it's classed as freeware that should mean everybody can distribute it.

Just a quick update... this game still rules. Am I surprised? Nope! I'm too busy laughing myself silly to be surprised and too busy racking my brains to figure out how to get past the next puzzles to worry about trivial things like food, sleep and hygiene. I will breach your walls, comically guarded mansion! Just you wait!

I don't see why Abandonia can't make an exception for this game,seeing as they've made quite a few exceptions in the past.
