I know this game has been released on the PC in the past, and the series has been around for a very long time -- I'm just not sure if KOEI has ever released an English translation of one of them for PC. I played the game for Sega Saturn (which shows how long it's been around), and it was one of the most addictive games I've ever played. It's a horse racing ownership sim, with mini-RPG elements among other things. New versions still come out every year in Japan for PS2 and maybe for PC as well, but I'm hoping there's some way we can get one of the older editions from the middle-late 90s on this site. So if there's an English PC version of Winning Post, I'd love to have it.

Edit: I assume that since they still release a new version every year, an older version from the 90s would be abandonware. I doubt they'd still sell Winning Post 2 or something when you can go out and buy like Winning Post 8 (in Japan, they won't release the new ones in the US. Bastards.)

I have ROM files for both Winning Post 1 and 2 for SNES (Japanese version, of course) :bleh:

I found them in a regrettable place (littered with porn), but they work nonetheless.

So, to avoid giving you the direct link, I just went to Google and searched for
'Winning Post ROMS', and the first site had it. Warning, Adult Content. Sorry, that's the only place I could find it. If you'd like, I can try to upload the roms somewhere, but that might prove troublesome.

Oh, and I don't think there is a Winning Post 8 yet , 'Winning Post 6' and 'Winning Post Box' are the latest. (There's one for GBA too).

I wish they would release an American version again -- they released G1 Jockey in the US last year, but still no more Winning Posts. And the Japanese version would still be fun, but there is a lot of text in the game and reading it makes it more immersive.
