How about soldiers?
I have 400+ shields and swords, but none settler to be a soldier.

What have I done wrong?

And all the games Ive downloaded are working, but the sound aint working on some of the games.

Use DosBox or VDMSound to run the games and the sound will work.

BTW, triple posting is bad.

Have you built guard huts, watchtowers or castles? Haven´t played the game since years but afaik you´ll need at least one of these buildings to recruit knights.
And take a look at the knight menus, especially the knight rate. Normally 30% of all settlers will become knights but if the knight rate bar is set to the left you will not receive any knights. There´s also a button to transform unemployed workers into new knights (if enough weapons are available).

Believe me, I have alot of weapons but no serfs to be one soldier.

Do you just get no knights or no new settlers at all?
Perhaps other professions have higher priorities. Another reason (although an unlikely one) could be, that you (and the opponents) reached the maximum number of settlers for the size of world. Unlikely but possible if you and your opponents have built a huge economy plus transport network.

And, as I asked in my previous post, have you built guard huts etc.?

Yes of course, Ive have around 200 guard huts, 50 towers and 50 Garrisons...
