Speakers and/or transformers are the most common causes..

You don't happen to have any wires with transformers on within say 50-70 cm from the BACK of your screen?

Oh.. and for god sake, do NOT listen to Indignus IV's "advice", as this might harm the monitors allignment permanently.

I have a toaster at about 4 feet from my monitor, and every time I use it my monitor screen "dance" slightly. Same thing happen for a split second when my fridge start too (I have a very small appartment :whistle.

If anything fail, I would check if there is an electronical device you installed somewhere near the computer recently and try turning it out to see if it gets better.

Thanks guys, I think it's just kicking it in, as I have nothing around that could be effecting it.
I tried degaussinmg, and it helps but not 100 % and the effects come back after an hour or so. I'm tired of the eye strain anyways, time for a LCD

Sad to hear that :/

Oh well.. had one monitor that went out in a mushroom-cloude.
Was pretty awsom..
The picture shown was a 1 cm wide line verticaly on the screen..
When i opend it, i saw that BOTH wires to the magnets on BOTH sides had melted and there where plenty of debree spread around inside the case... Pretty awsom.. i suppose i should be glad that the vacum-caseing didn't implode

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM, what the hell kind of monitor was that ??? I had those that just did the one cm wide line in the center when it died , but never one that blew up .

And I can related to the school hardware being cheap , my university decided to get these stupid IBM clones prob from Buck-A-Day or something . Half the time they are broken down , and some of the monitors are already doing the wavy thing , and they're not even a year old yet.
