How can I get a copy of Loom anyways?* I have the reaaallly old BIG floppy version, and I have no way to run that on my Windows machine, so where can I get a copy of the game?
What is wrong? How come the game doesn't run? I have the original version (bought it many years ago) and it still works - no problems installing it under windows... [/b][/quote]
I assume it is because he doesn't have one of those drives on his computer, the 5.25" drives. Not many computers have those anymore.

Hello, I'm an ex-LucasArts fan. A 'mojoer' if anyone comes from there is here. Loom is the best game ever. Straight five on any site. Anyway. You can upgrade your copy of Loom from the Underdogs website. Adding speech is optional. The speech pack is 49.7mbs It'll say you need to burn it to a CD, but just run it through ScummVM and it works. Link:
ScummVM website.

I'm sure we all apreaciate your efford, but there are a few problems here!

It's really easy to put up this game (I've original disks myself - and so have several other members) - but LucasFilm games and LucasArts games are off limit!
LucasArts doesn't allow their games to be hosted as ABANDONAWARE, so we took the game off the site and aren't hosting it any more.
Therefore we also don't need a link to another site that does host the game - unless they have explicid permision from LucasArts they shouldn't hoste the game anyway.

I know about all of this. Over the years Lucas Arts have become well, erm, poo-poo heads. They won't even let abandonwa put up Maniac Mansion. And they're obviously not going to do anything about it.

I know how you feel - they made some great games, but they don't sell them anymore and those games are not available anywhere (except second hand - or even worse: illegaly).

Curse Of Monkey Island

I need the book of references to get past the copyprotection at the start, and the file I got from here was corrupted. Anyone have a working version?
