Earthsiege 2
Earthsiege came out in 1994, a Sierra creation, and Earthsiege 2 in 1995. Some might say they're kind of a Mechwarrior knock-off, but it was all I had back in the day (at least for giant robots) and it was fun.

Earthsiege 2 is approved and I'll review it as soon as possible.

Earthsiege 2 for windows 98
I'm trying to install "Earthsiege 2" in Windows 98 emulated by retroarch through their dosbox pure core. I've got a working windows 98 system through retroarch and I would think a game made in 1995/6 would be compatible with windows 98 but when I try to install or run it I get the message “program error integer divide by 0” and nothing gets installed.
Is it okay to put where I found this game since I do believe it is technically abandonware or is that a no-no on this site? Maybe my source is for modern windows and I need an authentic version. |

This could be due to too fast emulation. Also, you could try PCem and/or 86Box.

I tried slowing down the emulation speed but I still get the same error message. The reason why I want to play it in Retroarch is Retroarch has save states. I don't know what the other pc emulators have. If I remember they could save one state and that's it, not even for one game at a time.
Plus it was a lot of work for me to set up windows 98 in retroarch, I really don't want to have to go through that work again. |

You were right, the game wants windows 95 and I'm emulating windows 98, that was the sticking point. I did find a version of the game that doesn't mind windows 98.
