Default Sound Bites

Some sound card set ups ask for IRQ, DMA, and port address values.
I recall not being able to find these perishing things when I had Windows 95!
I now have jolly old Vista so what are the chances?
Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Thank you for the information.

I do use DOSbox and had noticed the values but wondered if they ever required changing - obviously not.

Thanks again.

NP. The games need the values of your sound card. Since they're run inside DOSBox, we're talking about the legacy virtual card DOSBox emulates, not your real hardware one.

Those are the default settings if you haven't changed DOSBox's configuration, but you can change the settings or even the card emulated (older than SB16). You can find all that under the [sblaster] heading of DOSBox.conf
