Now this is an inexpensive way to improve your guitar skills. Some of those songs are all time greats. I think this, along with Sing Star 80s is a pretty good game in itself, as it tests you vocally and as a player.

Umm...could you explain how Guitar Hero can improve guitar skills? Probably the only thing you'll learn from it is the idea of hammer-on and pull-off. Other than that, all you're doing is pressing buttons.

We're talking about both Guitar Heroes in this thread, just to make a note, guys!

And Storm, the games don't necessarily improve your guitar skills because...they're not meant to. They're just really fantasticlly fun games, and people don't automatically assume that they imply improvment in real-world circumstances.

The game rocks! However, the game will have you cursing Randy Rhode's name the first time you try to play Ozzy's 'Bark at the Moon'.[/b]
Listen to this guy, he is absolutely right BATM is an entirely different world of pain from anything you have ever experienced...that and "Jordan" from Guitar Hero II on Expert. Sometimes I wonder how the creators could even think that playing something as complicated as that on the little five-button instrument...no matter how good I get at the game, I sincerely doubt i'll ever be able to beat Jordan.

If you don't believe me, check out a Youtube video (or something) that showcases the aformentioned song on Expert...your eyes will bleed.

I am aware of that, I was addressing Cwaazy P3nguin's post when he said that Guitar Hero is an inexpensive way to improve your guitar skills. I believe that anyone that honestly thinks that Guitar Hero increases your ability to play a guitar should be given a good hard slap. Of course, that only applies to people who know how the game works.
