Yes, it has been discussed before, but freeware is freeware. Reloaded was created for freeware. And freeware games will go on Reloaded. What's to be jealous of?
I can't stop you putting freeware games on here, but it will go on Reloaded, regardless. But I AM getting fed up with you guys slamming us - especially Tomekk & Russ. |

because there is difference between remake and community made up freeware and old games that were once sold and then once got abandonned and made freeware by authors who didn't care about it
and well SORRY for protecting abandonware to stay on abandonia. i didn't intend you to get fed up by us

Abandonia = Abandonware and formerly commercial games released later as Freeware.
Reloaded = Freeware and formerly commercial games released later as Freeware. Nothing prevents both sites from having concurrent entries about the same game. |

I don't think you appreciate how much work is put into AR (especially by Frodo). By putting these kinds of games on AB, it kind of makes putting them on AR redundant.
As for that rule, was that second part always there? The AB faq even states: Quote:
That said, there's a strong point to be made to have these games featured on AB as well. There used to be an "on AR" link that made a lot of sense. Perhaps this feature isn't available anymore, but imo an appropriate solution that is acceptable to both parties can still be found.

AR is about Freeware. AB is about Abandonware. Abandonware-turned-Freeware is something of a grey area, especially since some publishers occasionally release their older games as Freeware. Having an "On AR" link is a good solution here, and it should be possible to add these already. Having a special button for them may be something more of a problem. |

I'm just trying to protect Reloaded. We use FREEWARE games, and you use ABANDONWARE games.
But it's Russ & Tomekk's attitude that angers me more than anything. You keep slamming us time and time again, constantly critisizing us and hinting that we are not worth anything. Would you like it if we treated AB this way? |

attitude? i just keep saying that abandonware and games released freeware later belongs here. the fact that you don't like it doesn't have to make you act like this. and wtf when did i say anything about you worth nothing and when did i "slam you"? o_O actually, me and few other people are the only ones who still do visit reloaded, i really don't see your point

Eh, let's all be friends. I think Frodo was referring to this more than anything else -
Quote:
Which reminds me, Tomekk, there's better ways to put your point across, regardless of which, Reloaded is certainly not "crap."

That grey area Horseman was talking about blocked Abandonia to put on site complete series of abandoned games because one or few of them were released as Freeware and great titles such as GTA, GTA2. It doesn't have much sense.
Frodo I respect the great load of work you are doing at AR and I'm open for everything, actually that "ON AR" link was perfect, don't know why/when it was disabled here. |
