Default Lost 2D-Space-Game conquering the Starsystem!

Hi,

I'm searching desperately for a game I've played looong ago.
  • It was in the 2000's...maybe 2005.
  • My Pc was a Laptop from Maxdata running Windows XP SP2.
  • The game itself is a 2D-space-game.
  • I got it from a PC-magazine-CD, maybe "ScreenFun" or "ComputerBildSpiele".
  • It has pixelated graphics, top-down-view and you're sitting in a ship.
  • There is no speech...just text.
  • Controlled by keyboard only...if I remember correctly.
  • Arrowkeys for rotating left/right, thrust/reverse thrust, spacebar was shoot.

  • more details
The planets have gravity and you can fly into them for landing.
There you can conquer the whole planet or trade...maybe buying ships.
If conquering, you use all of your ships you have bought or stealed.
In space you can fly into other ships for dialogue. There you can choose to
board the ship and steal it by passing a shooter-mini-game with a pilot
walking in an arena-like room with enemies walking around and shooting.
When the last one was shot you owned the ship.

Everytime I think of that game I see "S.T.A.R.S.". Don't know the meaning.
And can't find something reffering to it.

Would like to see that gem again.

I don't recognise your game for sure but there's an archive of ScreenFun and ComputerBildSpiele at kultcds.com:
http://kultcds.com/index.php?id=bsf&lang=en
http://kultcds.com/index.php?id=cbs&lang=en

You can also look through the contents of their coverdisks using Hallfiry's CD catalogue.

On a side note, JIC I'm not German but I speak/know a bit of German. Please ignore the Location in my profile.

looking through those CD-covers...and there it is!

Interesting game, my first thought was about Command Adventures: Starship, it's very similar in gameplay to your description.
