...Tapio, which is a Finnish god of the forest...

I heard of it from Nightwish song Elvenpath! But I thought, that it is kinda fantasy person (there is stream of names in verses, if you listen). Although, gods ARE fantasy persons, from Christian point of view.
I know the song, even though I don't like Nightwish much. I think there's only one other name in the song which is Mielikki, which is also an ancient finnish god (or goddess in this case). I think she's Tapio's wife in the mythology. Sorry, going off topic in a way.

My second name is Johannes, which I assume comes from the latin name Ioannes thus being the equivalent of John in English. For example in Finnish the late pope John Paul's name was Johannes Paavali II and in The Bible all Johns are also Johannes'. My surname doesn't mean anything as far as I know.

EDIT: And yeah, I have no idea what Ioannes stands for in Latin, so I have no idea what Johannes means. Does anyone know?

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Ok, it seems that Ioannes is greek, not latin even though all the popes called John are officially called Ioannes. The latin equivalent is the same as in Finnish: Johannes and it comes from the Hebrew name Yochanan meaning "Yahweh is gracious".

Sebastian comes from the greek "sebastos" - "the venerable". Very fitting indeed.

My real name is Dino and I don't know what it means. It's Italian name (I'm Croatian), and that hits the spot because I just adore Italian cuisine.

Well, since Dino happens to be my second name (my mother is a huge Dean Martin-Fan... but the registrar got it wrong :[img]http://www.abandonia.com/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /> ): It derives from the greek "deinos", meaning "terryfying" or "tremendous"... put that together with my first name and you know it couldn't get more fitting than that :bleh:
