Default Mouse issues

Hi,

I am on a Windows 8 computer wanting to have a go at Silent Service 2. I got it running etc. but i have issues with the mouse.

I can see it move over the screen but the action behind the clicking isnt there so to say. I have a usb mouse.. Is there any solution for this?

Cheers,
Eskobar

Thank you for your quick reply Japo.

At first i thought i felt stupid because i had read this and was under the assumption i used ALT+F10 but with CTRL+F10 it also does not function.

I can see the mouse if i move it. It even changes in the dosbox and out of the dosbox but there is just no interaction after it. I also tried it on an XP pc same result.

Any other options?

Not really, if DOSBox really has control of the mouse, the fault would be expected to be in the game itself somehow... :-/

But does the mouse pointer change inside and outside of the DOSBox window, without pressing any key? That shouldn't happen--I mean, it would be nice if it did, but DOSBox doesn't have this mouse integration feature, like for example Virtual PC does.

Totally agree with Japo. If DOSBox have control over mouse, it "captures" it. There will be no mouse outside DOSBox. If you see it, it means that DOSBox doesn't capture it.

Also, you must try to capture mouse when DOSBox is "active" (obviously). If it's window is not active, there is no use in any keys.
