DOSBox won't work for this game, it's Windows.
I don't think Windows Vista can run this game.

Some things you should read first:
http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=19982
And all you need to set up W3.x in dosbox:
http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=9405

And because sooner or later peeps gonna switch to Win7: same principle, place the game in your personal folders or use dosbox.

Riiight. So I can't possibly be running it in DOSBox right now, can I? And yet I am.

My computer is running it in Windows. Not well but running.
And it won't work in DOSBox, therefore I thought that this version is Windows.

Uh... I've got an odd problem. So when I download a game .zip file, sometimes I'll cut and paste it to my program files from my desktop which is where I extract it. My problem is one of the files I got from the SimLife .zip, _ONTRES.FON, won't delete. When I try to do something with it it either crashes windows or when I try to delete it it say "Discovering items..." forever and ever... So. Any solutions? Because it's stuck on my desktop and is bothering me.

First thing to try: reboot your PC. Should *should* solve the problem.
Next: sometimes security programs/suites will block deleting some specific files, shut them down (if you have any)
Next²: in extremis, boot in safe mode.

Next³: learn to work in folders, not on your desktop.

Also:If you're on Vista/Win7 it's usually a bad idea to screw around in %program files%

Run CHKDSK, you might have file system errors.
If no errors were found, open up command line, navigate to the directory where the file is and enter del _ontres.fon . This should delete the file on spot.
Booting in Safe Mode might also help.

Okay, no file system errors and I did that "del _ontres.fon" thing but now it says it's not a valid font file. :<

Control Panel >> Fonts.
Seems your system installed it as a font for some reason.

I looked, it's not installed, I used safe mode, tried to delete it there, even in cmd.exe although it says it can't find it :<, it's still there... haunting me. Oh well... Forget 'bout it. I locked it up at the bottom of my screen.
