I have tried not in dosbox and in dosbox, neither work...well, they work, but the TEXT SPEED is WAY TOO FAST

BTW: I am running XP, 2.50 Ghs, 256 RAM if that matters

Use dosbox, and reduce the cycles to 1000 or 500

text appearing too fast:
means you mounted your drives wrong.
(and there is some resource file that needs to be set as well.)

Reduce some more. Some games will run well on 700 cycles, not sure about QFG 4. Just keep reducing the cycles until you get a readable speed.

I mounted my drives just fine, and that resource file is in there

Well, it's still not quite working at 300 cycles!!! Any slower and it takes teh actual game speed down WAY too fast, and it makes my cpu struggle

then you are not mounting it correctly

the text is syncronised to some audio

if it can't find the audio, the text runs at very vast speed as the audio file finishes playing very fast

well, then i guess I need the full audio, because appearantly the cd rip is pointless if you need speech.
