There are so many!
Movies: Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones. I could go on and on if this was about soundtracks and not just themes. TV Shows: Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (both old and new), Knight Rider, Cheers, X Files, Babylon 5, the list goes on and on, some very good ones! |

Movie: The soundtrack from Platoon is brilliant I don't know if it has a name but it still send shivers down my spine every time I hear it. |

Many stuff from the 70s and 80s... goes both for movies and series.
Though the Star Wars-series is on top of the movie list (at least the old ones... you can actually just LISTEN to those movies and still not miss the slightest bit  ) Miami Vice would be for series... not just the original score, but it was so full of gret contemporary music back then... "Going Under" by DEVO in the second episode... and Ed O'Neill as guest-star... ) Speaking of "Miami Vice": The movie "To Live And Die In L.A." also has a great soundtrack... @ apocalypse dude: What kind of series is that? Never heard of it... |

I have some very good memories with X Files, Gyro (the greek fast food), and a cousin of mine, sitting in my room, eating and watching and discussing the episode. I have only watched like the first 4 seasons....
BTW, the topic on this thread is THEME, not soundtrack.....OR what you did a few years ago  |

As a tv series theme I say "Suicide is Painless" from "M.A.S.H" as for the movie, "This is Halloween" from "Nightmare before Christmas"
