Stragedy or RPG. I'll voted for stragedy because I have been playing stragedy games a bit longer than RPG's

I voted for RPG, with Fallout and Planescape as favorites. I do like stragedy, like the CIV series. I never really liked RTS. But adventure games and simulations like the SIM series I also enjoy greatly.

I voted for simulation. I like strategy games also, but only a few games are good. For me a strategy game must be balanced and realistic (not the story or the units. I mean that in it you should not win when you do a rush with only a few units (e.g Starcraft) and that the A.I. shouldn't send the same units again and again and again ). Earth 2150 Escape From the Blue Planet and The Moon Project were the only strategy games that I really liked.

As for simulation games, my favorites are X-Wing, Wing Commander, F-22 ADF and  F-22 Total Air War

My vote goes to RPG. Some of them still lives in my comp thanx to emulation, like old NES FF's, Phantasy star from Master System (the oldest ones I remember playing ), later on PC, with The immortal and Diablo (but these have some adventure feel, not 100% RPG. Just my opinion...).
Since I've played more RPG's than another genre, this is my choice this time (if I'd choose another, I'd consider Doom and Quake series for sure )

C u around.

I voted Simulation. This is not my fav' genre but I really can't play well then again I love trying to.

I would be sitting in a dark room playing the 1st level of some really poor game and it wouldn't bother me to be honest!

:Titan: I love RPG. It's my favorite genre. My favorites are games like Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale based on the d20 system (Dungeons and Dragons). Or Dungeon Master. . .

I prefer the old Command and Conquer which had more emphasis on resource gathering. In C&C it wasn't that easy to just build a new base since a new construction yard was REALLY expensive. Not to mention buildning the defense for the new base. Gathering Tiberium became more of a escort mission. In the *Craft games I've found that resource gathering hasn't been that hard. Then again I doubt I've seen all the scenarios.
Speaking of the *Craft games. Has anyone tried Dark Oberon? It's a *Craft clone where the models and all are made out clay. The link is on the master list at AR (check my sig).

I had to chose stategy. I'M SO SORRY BALDURS GATE!!! (the next day Minsc and Boo knocks on my door carrying one big sharp axe)

Seriously, strategy is one great gaming genre, and the classics generally lives on in a more glorified way than most other game genres.

I voted for adventure. But personally, my perfect game would be some sort of first-person 3D roleplaying action adventure. It would have to have a wide and fully explorable landscape, have multiple non-linear storylines, and be infinitely replayable. But somehow, I don't think it's going to happen.
