I don't know if you can upload it directly from your computer to the site...
If not its best to put the signature somewhere online, perhaps on photobucket and then link to the picture there.

I'm pretty sure signature images can't be uploaded.

You'll have to put it on the net somewhere, I use 2and2 for this kind of stuff, and then link to it in your signature.

There is.
In your control panel under "personal profile" but you don't upload it from your computer, you need to upload it to the internet and then specify the the URL of the image.
