I am German so you might say I am able to speak german. What is all about that Überstuff? Übersmurf, Überbeer, Übercar, Übersmiley, Übergame, Überthing and and and. Über means in top of. When someone is über you than he is your boss. When something is über you it might be the roof of the building in that you are at the moment. To say something is the Übertool does not make much sense. Thats an unused term in german. So what is it all about?
By the way Smurfs are knows as Schlümpfe in Germany. You should call the mighty Smurf: Überschlumpf. cu, Spaceball |

I believe the term übermensch is a term coined by Nietzsche.
This term was later twisted by the nazis into a new context: a supreme being a superior race über means boss a boss is your superior so übermensh is superior man, superior race. and an übergame is a superior game and so on and so on.

@stroggy
You're right. I know that Über makes the stuff superior, but that doesn't matter in the case that its funny even when you speak german. A german would never call something the überthing because it is stupid in german. Thats like you have used a translator and translators don't do their job very well. I just don't understand were does the fascination to use the word über comes from. cu, Spaceball |

It's probably becaus in English and many other languages there are no words you can use like that, you can just add uber- to anything and it will mean "superior", It's just convenient I guess.

Is this somewhat directed towards me? :P
I didn't come up with my title, Titan did. So you have to ask him why he went for Tha Abandonia Zuppah Duppah Übersmurf.... I speak German fluently (although I write it like ****, just ask Freddy ) so I am aware of what the word means and that it is wrongly used in this connection. But what can you expect from Titan.... He's stupid. (Why do I get the sudden feeling he is gonna get back to me on that one? :whistle: )
