I love these games back then, because somewhat of the freedom u actually had in an rpg just for those days, how brilliantly the game was made, and so easily modified with mappers and stuff for your advantages. lots of ways to finish the game in a good or bad way, or how to screw up and stuff.............game does bring back memories. Gotta love these two games, to bad Interplay went bankrupt and sold out, eh and to bad these files around a whopping 900 mb i believe or 2 gbs or 1.5 gbs together...to big to fit on site even if abandonware eh?

I love playing this game from my awesome two cd set i got from some store one time =D gahahaha, Chosen one, did you get the geck
?

its definetly not abandonware as they are being sold in a 3 pack with fallout tactics. the games are a lot of fun and they beat a lot of other modern rpg's (including final fantasy) due to the fact this offers more freedom and storyline than any other rpg

Maybe they are not abandonware, but I think in most countries you can get them quite cheap. In Hungary for example you can get Fallout 2 for 4 Euros.

Some Pc magazines had them too as full versions a few years ago, that was even cheaper.

I love tactics much more then the Fallout RPGs. Maybe I am spoiled by Baldur's Gate but after that game I never liked other RPG as much.

I have all three Fallout games but I haven't got round to playing tactics yet, I have played the RPGs and Fallout 2 is the better one.

Fallout rocks Just got addicted to chems though, as I used them to boost my stats back up after they went down. Scar costed me 4 points of perception and intelligence and 5 to charisma, and can't seem to get it back up any other way than with chems :not_ok:

Is there any way to go "cold turkey" with chems? i.e. can you not take any for a long time and suffer the bad effects for all this time and then your addiction will slowly go away.

Yes, the side effects of drugs taken in those games will fade with time. I believe the amount of time depends upon the drug, though. You might check around the Web for a list.
