Tried to play M.A.X., but when I ran the MAX.bat file it tells me, "Please Insert the M.A.X. CD and try again". Normally it closed out too quick for me to read that so I ran it in dosbox so I could see the error message.

I figured it out. The .bat file was directed to a folder called MAX where as my folder was named differently. Changing the .bat file made everything work.

That won't help you.
The path in the batchfile depends on where you have unpacked the game, and therefore a copy from another person will not work on your machine unless you place the game in exactly the same location as they did. So either place the game in D:\Max\ or edit the batchfile to contain the correct path (NOTE: it shouldn't contain any spaces). |
