There were questions that I didn't know the answer to, I'll admit it. And I'm a relatively well traveled American.

Go out on the street and I guarentee that you can get enough stupid people to fill 10 minutes of footage. You just have to choose the best ones. If someone answers right, sorry buddy but you're getting cut.

Reminds me of a home video where it looks like I can play pool, but really it was just the three shots that I made all edited back-to-back.

The thing is there were people that answered right, but of course they're not going to show that for the sake of comedy...

It's nothing but a knock-off of a long-running bit on the Late Show called Jay-walking (from "The Late Show" which is hosted by Jay Leno and runs on NBC in the US).

The first thing that you have to ask is how many responses were recorded before they got enough stupid answers to fill the spot.
There were probably at least forty percent of the people that actually knew the answers, but were not funny, because they were correct.

There was once a marvelous current affairs comedy program (anything that makes you actually pay attention to whats going [so you can get the jokes] is a good current affairs program) that had an amusing segment called "Talking to Americans". The pinnacle of this spot was getting George W. Bush to say nice things about Jean Poutine, Canada's alleged prime minister (At the time, our prime minister was Jean Chretien, and poutine is a peculiar element of french canadian junk food, combining french fries, chicken gravy, and cheese curds so fresh they sqeak).

After doing this for several years, the CBC ran a documentary that explained why these segments are so easy to record. The documentary was titled "Ask a Stupid Question". It revealed that when faced with an interviewer posing a question that seems to be socially relevant, people are extremely reluctant to admit ignorance and will often give an answer that the interviewer seems to want. So you can get New Yorkers to oppose canadian overharvesting of the silverfish (a small insect urban pest). There were also several spirited opinions on the clothing of that new TV personality Knowlton Nash. Everyone assumed "she" was not dressed with full regard to propriety, even though there was no mention of gender and the only clue to the type of clothing was that it was being questioned. As it was Knowlton Nash* who was asking the question and his wardrobe can be described as fashionably bland, it was clear that no one knew what they were talking about, but were afraid to admit ignorance.

What is even worse, is that people are also too polite to say bad things about new products. This is a complete disaster for market researchers, as they must somehow prevent products that will never sell from achieving volume production. The documentary illustrated this problem by recording the responses to samples of chocolate cake sprinkled with cayenne pepper and cola laced with tobasco hot sauce. Nobody said anything bad about them. One woman even defended her compliments of the food by saying that she really did them (It is possible that she was telling the truth, to each his own and all that).

* The vast bulk of americans can be excused for not knowing one of Canada's longest running news anchors. His only noteworthy action in america was to be the person in whose arms Robert Kennedy died after being shot by an assassin.

Like if you ask someone there what is "π?"(PI-squared), I bet the most of them will think of some rectangular dessert.[/b]
So, Play...what is pi squared? And why is it significant?

Really Playbahnosh you shouldn't have such prejudices I am sure you would find people who don't know answers to those questions in Hungary too, anywhere in the world actually...
