In Finland,there are lots of tv-game shows where anyone can participate with cellphone.

Example: There is a game called "Maali"(Goal in english). There is a real guy as a goal-keeper. Anyone can sent a text message and shoot a football in the goal. If the ball goes in,he gets points. Every message is something about 0.98 €.
There are no prices or anything. Its just a way to lose some money. Some people having been playing this game a lot and then they got 3000 € phone bills.

Is there anything like this in the other countries?

We also have a tv-chat,where you can chat with text message. There is also a talking head,wich says (nearly)everything with computer voice. Normal text is 0.98€,talking head text is 1.64€.

Also,there is usually a guy/girl who is reading and commenting messages. Messages are usually something like:show your boobs.

They do have mobile phone operated games also in the Polish TV, but probably none of those with live hosts. The irritating water war and puzzle games are common there too, though.

We dont' have those games, but we have chat on the tele-text.
Then there's this one station that shows music videos during the nights and mornings, and when nothing else is on. The videos are just in a small part of the screen, the rest is a poll, which songs should play. You send sms with some code. Then there's also some poll like "are you going to travel this summer" etc.

In my opinion, stupid way to spend your money.
