Question Word Rescue [SOLD]

Been trying in vain for several years to track this down. This was in the early nineties and I was very young, and my mom threw the computer away before I could even try to catch the title!

Ran in DOS

Blonde girl and guy
Full color
I believe it was by Apogee
There were purple monsters and you would dump paint buckets on them to get rid of them I think. There were lots of levels, including bright forests, castles, dungeons, and waterfalls. Lots of waterfalls. I think it's considered a "platformer" and it was basically the girl and guy trying to get to the highest level -- which I never reached.

There may or may not have been vocabulary involved..
TIA

I'll move first thing tomorrow when I have a browser that can see the thread tools... Rejected Requests, presumably.

More likely word rescue (vocab involved). The girl is not blonde in either, though.

Oh, I didn't understand the vocabulary sentence, and had forgotten it already when I remembered the educational theme. Also, I thought the snake had been the protagonist.
