I forgot about Dark Forces. I played those ones as well (Dark Forces 1 + 2). Those were nice.

Why don't you think you will play Half Life 2? It is the biggest hype out there.

Well around where I live it seems Doom 3 is bigger. But I never said I wasn't going to play it. Just I wasn't looking forward to it as much as Doom 3. Or that is what I meant, I can see how I misled you. Sorry for that. k:

What ever you say captain.

Anyway. 1st and 3rd person shooters have always been my favorites.

- Max Payne 1 & 2
- Hitman series
- Painkiller
- Deus Ex
- System Shock 2
- Quake

Great games all!

Max Payne 2 was excellent. I finished it on easy then medium, couldnt be bothered going through a third time. And now since we uninstalled it I couldnt be bothered going through easy and medium just to try hard even though I want to. I love the reload animation where he spins around especially with the dual berettas. k: k:

BTW Anyone know if there are any save files that have at least easy and medium modes finished?

I haven't played Max for long time but I think im "currently playing" hard difficulty. Im in the last level that is one pain in the ass.

Im askin Painkiller: battle out of hell for christmas present and If no one buys it, I buy it myself.

I've been playing Halo2 too with my roomate that has xbox and I think it's bloody brilliant. The massive war scenes are damn "beautiful". If it's going to be on PC, I think im definetly buying it! It's a blast!

I've been addicted to Half-Life 2 for the past few days (since I got it) and I can tell you now that it is much better than Doom 3, Doom 3 is fun but gets very bored and repetitive as the game progresses but Half-Life 2 just keeps throwing new thnigs at you, it is also much more atmoshperic than Doom 3 (I just finished the Ravenholm level OMG).

I must be the only FPS fan out there who isn't going to buy Half-Life2. Also the steam registeration limits my enthusiasm to the game.

I just completed painkiller with nightmare difficulty. Therefore I unlocked trauma difficulty that sounds quite... crispy. Im excited of having the expansion!
