Gravis Ultrasound's SB-emulation driver (sbos) was often not even recognized as a Sound Blaster by some, if not many games, and Pro Audio Spectrum / Pro Audio Spectrum 16 played distorted and stuttering sound in Sound Blaster setting in games or programs, and sometimes also wasn't paying at all. Both of which are everything else than "SB compatible". |

I never had any gravis ultrasound card. Mostly non-well-known SB compliant cards, and with introduction of Pentium most of them where on the main board. Some of those computers I still have working.
@ JMB - You'll see OS/2 welcome screen?! I might still have PCDOS install that came originally with Conectix Virtual PC .(before MS purchased them) If I find it, I might give it a try. |
