whatever. the passnager can be your familly member (which is even weirder) and they still are not allowed to listen to the music on your CD.

Err... I don't think hearing it in someone elses car constitutes a public performance, since that car is someone's private property. Now if you went and played in a public auditorium and charged people €5 for entering, then it'd be a public performance and you'd be breaking the law.

it doesn't have to be public performance. if he want's to hear it (use it) he has to have his own copy. sharing is not alowed.

and of course there is also a problem cause each country has different laws. but the basis of copyright is still that everyone that wan't to use the work (programme, music etc) needs to buy his own copy otherwise he is sharing or pirating. stupid.

sorry, but that's bullshit. :tai:

spider mastermind above you is totally right. no public performance or audition - no breaking of the law.
And I'm pretty sure germany has one of the strightest laws in the EU including slovenia.
and another interesting thing: If you copy your music on a casette there won't be any problems (at least in germany - the magic word here is gema) because there's a fee included in the price.

I quite often see Monkey Island 3 (unfortunatley not 1or 2) and the first Indiana Jones game that wasn't a point and click adventure (again unfortunately not 1 or 2) floating around game shops in Hong Kong. I remember seeing Grim Fandango last month too, but that my have been an old copy, not a re-issue.

I always keep my eyes open for that sort of thing when I'm there, it's like finding a diamond in a world full of zircona

I've still got my original Monkey Island II box, floppy disks (!) and the ingredient wheel thing you had to spin and enter the results into the game before you could play to make sure you weren't a pirate. (lol, pun definately intended)
I've also got my Monkey Island I disks and a counterfeit wheel I made out of 2 photocopies

The first LucasArts game I played was Monkey Island I and for me that was the definitive point and click game. Having never played Sam and Max or Day of the Tenticle, my view is slightly narrow but I don't care what you say; Guybrush Threepwood forever, baby!

There's plenty of those things. Just not altogether.

I have all four Monkey Islands, GF and Loom.

I have Dark Forces and X Wing vs. TIE Fighter and TIE Fighter and Lego™ Starwars. But I thought we were only talking about AGs.
