Imagine if you could use the controller as a sword to control Link's attacks...

Did Nintendo pay you something cause it really sounds like an ad to me...
IMO this remote control like thingy will have it's use in a limited number of games, and it will render mayn game genres (RTS comes in mind) unplayable, so people will have to use/buy the old controler anyway... I mean nintendo is using this controler like it's the single most important thing in the console, just imagine if Sony would use it's eyetoy as the single most important thing of the console...

Meh, there'll always be haters... although, the PSP versus DS debate was funny and the same thing. Horsepower versus actual creativity. Where is the PSP now? Getting destroyed by the DS.

Well Sony is horrible at conceiving new controllers, and the EyeToy is rather lame.
And give me some solid proof how RTS games will not work, it could something as simple as gliding the controller around like a mouse, and then holding A to drag a selection box, it's simple really, it's like a stylus for the DS, except it's floatin' around. And don't start with the "limited" number of games thing, there's already a massive amount of developers that are very interested in this, including one of the lead designers from Square Enix, so while you may think it's stupid, obviously developers don't, and that's what actually matters. So I'm thinking this console is going to get a massive rush of launch games (there are already SEVERAL untitled and un-named projects on the go). A limited libraby is going to be no problem for the system. And the controller is the single most important thing of ANY console, how else are you going to be playing the games smarty? And speaking of controllers, how is anyone justified about complaining about the Rev controller when Sony has that abominable disgusting boomerang lobster-hands PS3 controller. Call me a advertiser, but you aren't doing much better either, since you hardly seem to accept anything good about the controller.

I have nothing against Nintendo (used to own a DS till a couple of weeks ago when I traded in for a PSP), but mark my words, the controller will fail to make the impact some fanboys want it to. The rev controller is going to fail. The rev console might do well.

Like I said, we'll see. I'm pretty damn sure they know what they're doing.

It is a big risk they're making, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't make that risk if they knew it didn't have a big chance have making a huge success.

It's been only a bit more then 20 years when they suggested Nintendo Inc. that making of NES console is going to be a huge mistake.
Tulac, without trying it, you already know the controller is not working well. I would at least wait to check it with my own hands. Is Sony/M$ paying you? LOL |

I said that more or less in affect, because blood piggy said its better than a mouse, when essentialy it is like a mouse, only the beam travels much further to the TV, then a mouse to desk, and that's why IMO it's going to be complicated to use it, after all there's a reason why handguns have never been popular...
