Default PC Tools 4.3

Hi,
Has anyone here used Central Point's PC Tools v4.3 before? It was a great DOS disk utility to copy format disks, copy disks, manage files, etc.

Unfortunately I've lost the app and could not find it anywhere.

I'll be grateful if one can point me where I can get it, preferably ver 4.3, not 4.21.

I'll give it a try: NC. The reason I liked PC Tools 4.3 was because it's a small util, just a few hundreds Kb, and works well on low end PC like 286 or XT. I have just resurrected my XT, 286, 386 and 486, and wanted to try the app again. If I can remembered correctly, the feature i liked most was auto copy when a disk is inserted into the drive without pressing a key.

Note the NC link from this site's program page is not working.

*Thanks for moving this posting to appropriate forum. I wasn't sure which one since this is not about game.

so it seems... there were others reporting that NC is not working.

NC works well on 286. i had it on a 286/12 Mhz with 640kB RAM and it ran just fine. as well as other programmes i ran through it.

Just google for "norton commander 5.5" or "norton commander 5.51". There will be several download locations in the first three or so pages of search results.

Also, I'll see if I can provide a temporary remedy for the NC problem.

You might also like to try out Volcov Commander instead of Norton Commander. It's a clone of Norton Commander with few additional features and support for long filenames of Windows 95 and higher.
