Anyway Ive seen online games being totaly destroyed by kiddies. All elderly players leaving and only kiddies staying behind to party.

Everyone is a newbie at one time or another. You can still become a newbie if you start playing a new game. So newbies aren't that bad its the kiddies that are bad.

I've known Gandalf since he came here, and I don't think he's ever been treated badly. Maybe it's because he has a nice avvie + sig. It makes him more personal than those n00bs who come here post "Yo were da warez at?" and get banned seconds later. Anyway, bashing n00bs isn't always nice, but come on, you have to say watching Titan work is kinda funny. :bleh:

Yeah, I was once n00b here too. That was ages ago though () but I did not recieve any bashing or warn or ban other medical accesories. I mean, this is all a question of common sense. You could be a 10000 post veteran if you act like a frekin moron, you will get banned. If you are a "newbie spammer" and you forum like good ppl do, you will actually get respected. Like me k: (sorry fellas, had to say it )

As for the mod question, yeah. There are not may forum admins here, but that has its special purpose. If you have many mods on a forum with powers beyond imagination, they will actually think the forum is theirs, and will act like that. They will bash n00bs, ban people and do all kinds of funny stuff knowing they are immortal. Belive me, I was there when it happened on another board.

But if you keep a moderate ammount of modrators, they will work FOR the members, no against the members. A few carefully chosen admin can keep the order no matter how big is the board. And for the vetereans "moderating" stuff, they are probably right at some point. If no mod is there to keep order at the time of a flame war, somebody has to act isn't it? If it is a vet member, or any member with some sense that can stop the actual law braking, why not do it? Bah, I was once a self proclaimed keeper of the 3xBlah, but I resigned. With no mod powers, I always ended up being accused of taking part in the flaming when íi was out to stop it.

I have to say, I'm doing the best I can bashing a certain Wolf Thing, but not because he's a n00b, but because he annoys me and other people. And he's exactly the kind of guy like the one stated above.

I, however, didnt behaved like one. I never asked for warez, i never spammed, i rarely double posted, my english was good and i never used short words (L0L, omg) or net-language (plz giv me doom. U r so nike. and so on...)

I once received a warning from Titan when i spammed in shoutbox using many names (Spammer and god).

Oh I was a n00b alright! This was my first forum. I found everyone very patient and understanding of my mistakes and stupid posts. (and banned links :whistle: )
Anyway n00bs can offer lots and shouldn't be disheartened from ... the more learned ones.
