Quite a few of my older adventure games won't run in XP so I'm wondering how I can create ISO-files of my CDs and then mount them. The reason that I want to run the games from my harddrive is to speed up the data access time.

Get MagicISO, ISObuster or smth and then when you've created it, mount the image with daemon tools. All progs are free.

I even got phone-help with bypassing the copy-protection on my Civ3-discs from Atari, since i like to save my CD's and run everything from ISO's on the drive

Alcohol 120% and Daemon tools are also great tools for handeling ISO's. I use Daemon because it's very easy to mount and unmount ISO with it

*edit* Edit I tried ISObuster and it seems to work fine. I just created an image of schizm on my hard drive, problem is that the executable won't recognize the image daemon tools has mounted... It works with Gabriel Knight though. |
