The Blade Runner pc game & film are both really good.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wasn't Blade Runner a book first?

I'm not sure about the book, but I thing Stoggy's right.
The Blade Runner film came before the pc game. k:

There is also a little-known pc game called Lord Of The Rings that might make a good film.

I think you are right there was a short story but I have since forgotten the name (it wasn't Blade Runner), but the game was based on the film in that it used the same locations and such. Like for example the Dune games (also by Westwood), most notably Emperor: Battle for Dune, were based on the movie by Lynch, not the miniseries.

I think they should make a movie about the X-wing games, only with a lot of focus on those special powers some people have in games like Knights of the Old Republic. That would be sweet!

There was no Blade Runner book before the movie (or after as far as I know). The movie was based on a short story by P.something.Dick (I know him just don't remember his middle name) titled Do robots dream of electric sheep. Or something close to that.

I forgot about Tomb Raider. I loved both the movies, as did the WC movie. Fun! How could I have forgotten one of the worse movies ever, Street Fighter. What a pile of junk! Kylie Minogue was very hot there if I remember correctly, though I have no pictures to prove it, and I am too embarassed to buy the DVD.

An honourable mention should go to that episode of Futurama where the Earth was invaded by aliens in the way the Space Invaders played. IIRC the whole episode had references to games.

Oh yeah. Now I remember.

Phillip K Dick wrote the short story Do Robots Dream Of Electric Sheep, which inspired the film Blade Runner, which came before the pc game.

EDIT - @ Magic. What is MGS?

Mediterranean Garden Society?
Well why not, we already had The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

Metal Gear Solid...

I only suggested it because it is one of few games with a deep storyline, however im not sure how it would pan out. Probably just an action film... which doesnt portray MGS as it is.

I think there was a project of a doom movie staring Shwarzy but it got canceled. Anyway they shouldn't cast a big star for the movie cause you're not supposed to see the guy. Just a big corridor shooter movie would be cool. You have to respect the spirit of the game.
I think Final Fantasy sucked big time. But then i never was a FF fan to start with. Please forgive me, i know it's seen as a major offense in most places around the world. But the thing is i REALLY love RPG. Sorry !
