I played the .MIDI or .MID files of the game in the windows media player... now - it doesn't play music at all!
Changing sounds to one from the .rar doesn't help... ideas?

Look at your volume settings, usually found on your taskbar as an icon. Then look if one of the bars is set to 0.

SW synth. also check your audio-output for midi in control panel
