Talking DosBox 0.74 video codec problem

Hi,

I want to do videos of my Dungeon master showing the Start, the Middle and the Finish of the game.
(Note: I am located level 11 of the game from 14 levels. So I am unable to do the Finish.)
Anyway.

I know how to start and stop the video capturing.
I know the files are *.avi

Sadly I still have no video codec installed .

My question is:

-If I send the ready video files to friend, who have installed the codec in question, can he see the video and heard the sound?

..and second Q:
Howto install this codec for DosBox?

I visited already the link who dear Dosraider kindly provide me in the thread DM but can not find valuable help.

Thank You for your time.

Besides VideoLan Media Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (which plays all formats & codect)
As Dosraider Suggests.

You could also install a Codec Pack If you want to use your own media player.
In THAT case I would advise you K-Lite Codec Pack. http://www.codecguide.com/index.html

And if your friend has the right codec's. He Should be able to view the files.
Although. How can you record a video with a certain codec if you don't have that codec?

Talking Nice player

Hurray!

I followed the polite advice of dear Dosraider and DL the VLC player. Then I installed VLC.
Then I make new videos and immediately tried VLC.
All was OK. Music and video.
So my problem is successfully solved.

BTW, dear man from Lowland the old files (before VLC) also showed video and sound!!
I swear it is true.. Maybe some magic..

You just click on the option in the start menu...

Not magic. DOSBox saved the files just fine. It was you who didn't have the codec needed to play them back.
