I saw on the news just now that a plane has crashed at an airport near my area. They say it is supposidly Air France. Today was a HUGE thunderstorm and I am supposeing it is due to that (I can still hear thunder now). The plane was like 100 feet from a major highway which my parent use to get to work. It seem that the pilot and a unkown number of people have been rushed to hospital. I am watching and can see the plane on fire getting doused with firetrucks.

BTW, speaking of the thunderstorm, I was in a bus terminal when the thunder hit like 50 feet away from me!!!! In a parking lot close to it. Blew my eardrums. and my ears were ringing for 5 min...

Yikes, I just saw that on a news site. They only had one small, grainy picture, but it didn't look good. Lots of smoke and flames.

hmm I see that the smoke went from black to white so I am going to guess that the fire has died down.

Update, everyone escaped and 14 injuries. The black smoke started to rise again. Also they say that the fire broke out AFTER people escaped. The planes dosn't seem badly damaged.

It was rather amusing when one of my friends suggested that it might have been a terrorist attack. ...I sat him down and explained that Highway 401 isn't exactly a tactical target for any group except for disgruntled speed ticket recipitants.
