What's with people and water. You're on a deserted island, you are surrounded by water, I'm sure it's not to hard to filter it with something you can find on the island.

1.) A snare so I can practice on it. And don't give me a strange look, if I really were to bring a piece of music with me I would need to add something in the luxury section to be able to listen to it. A CD doesn't play well alone.
2.) A big one. The pages would probably be nice to help start the fire at night. Let's be frank here, who would rather keep a book and read it X time when your life is on the line?
3.) Nice question. I think something like a gun with plenty of bullets to defend myself would be wise in such a situation, so that's one. The second... A female friend that I like very much? Like my ex for example. If we are stuck alone together for a long time it could turn out very nice...
4.) Type of food: cooked. Type of drink: something non alcoolic and easy to drink. Fresh water would be best.

Edit: I've just read some of the posts above mine and you guys make me laugh. I think some of you did not really understand the concept of the question... If you were to bring a PC or something similar to your (deserted) island, how would you plan to use it without electicity? And batteries are not an option either, it would not last long enough to use it more than a full day. Perhaps some of you should reconsider and at least ask for some solar panels in the second choice.
your post is also kinda funny eagle. You need a gun to defend your self?!? From what? Pirates?

Well I don't know for your island, but mine would have wildlife on it and would be quite big. That's a good way to be able to eat more than only fish for the rest of your life...

well you said that you wanted to defend your self with a gun, not hunt with it!! And besides, if you start hunting animals for food you would very fast run uot of food, so it's better to "grow" them. And besides if there are animals on the island, that means that there is a spring of drinkable water on the island. And this makes you post kinda funny again eagle...

I don't get your point. If something agressive decide to start hunting me then I would be glad to have something to defend myself. As for "hunting"... As long as the reserve of bullet is good, I don't see why I would not use it at the same time. At least until I build myself something else to hunt with. And for over hunting... Even if it was possible, that's completely another matter altogether.

I don't get your point for the fresh water either. I think you should reread my first post, I don't want something else.

Well how are we supposed to listen to this one song, Havell started it and also included computer, so we are assuming the island magically supllies electricity.

And I know we can't drink salt water, that why I Suggested filtering it in some way, I'm sure you can find something on the island that would do a decent job at filtering it.

I really don't know what's with all the people and there fear from animals. It must be from the movies. In reality they are more afraid of us. And for the drinkable water thingie, you said that you wanted water for the drink, but if there is already drinkable water on the island than that makes your post kinda funny too, beacuse why would you need 2 sources of water on a desert island, that's funny.

A natural spring is way better than anything you could bring with you Bohor. Both in term of health and in term of taste. I'd prefer a natural water source on the island than something I would bring with me.

For animals... I'm talking about wild animals here. As far as I am concerned the island could be anywhere on the globe but I guessed that it would probably be tropical...

Isn't there lots of dangerous wild animals living in a tropical flora?

wild yes, dangerous no! Those animals are more afraid of me than I of them... And if there are any predator animals, why would they start hunting humans all of the sudden when they hunted wild boars for 400 years!! And for the water thingy - don't mess with me ok?!
