The people in Little People aren't that small either, and neither are the sims very big (it's the drinking water)

From the looks of it (haven't tried it yet), I think this game hits a paradox: children mature enough to handle a computer (even if it's basic mouse interface) would find this game unappealing, and children young enough to find this game appealing wouldn't have the cognitive development to handle a computer, would they?
I doubt my 6-year old son, who is able to blunder around in a Windows desktop, would find this game interesting for more than 2 minutes (although that might be due to premature contact with PS2); I believe that might be true even with my 4-year old niece, who is still in the button-mashing stage and love cute fluffy animals. I'll guinea-pig them through it a little, then let you know the results of my experiment. [cue mad scientist's laugh and wriggling hands] |

Actually my 2.5 year old handles the mouse fairly well. She plays Green Eggs and Ham just fine and she loves Chicken Hunter. She laughs like crazy when she hits a chicken and she is actually aming. She just cannot hit the moving chickens easily yet.
She liked both LP Farm and LP Main Street.

I guess if you have a really young child, you can help them use the computer. But they still wouldn't understand what they are doing. My little cousin, who is 2 and a half, she uses my computer, with the help of me, but all she does is click the mouse, wondering whats going to happen next. She can barely talk... She still finds it interesting though, I think. |
