Default New Zork?!

I just saw a banner ad for it...
It is at http://www.legendsofzork.com

I haven't bothered playing but, like the new Last Half of Darkness game (which was okay), it looks like it'd be worth an hour before deciding it's rubbish, passable or whatever.

I don't think anything can ever compare to the originals - it is like sequels for films and books that go past four or five.
Even some games. I didn't really think Monkey Island Four was anywhere near as good as one and two.
Let's hope that MI can redeem itself - Lucasarts was going through that awkward 3D interface phase, like in Grim Fandango...

Should stuck with SCUMM - it was far better, imo.
*strokes beard.

I think it's like a free MMO you play in your browser from what I read. Looks a bit cartoony. I haven't tried it yet. I thought Zork got better and better with each new game and peaked with Return to Zork, then went a weird Myst route with Zork Nemesis, which is the only one I haven't won mostly because it crashed all the time.

Ugh why does it look cartoony.

I agree that Return to Zork was the best, many fond memories with that one, though Grand Inquisitor is good as well.

Zork Nemesis I played for 10 minutes, got confused, and never touched it again.

But I broke up after two days. It makes no sense.

Well, I used it for more than two days, but got bored eventually.
