Yup, that's the main reason it's so long . Although I felt most of it was needed for this game since it's quite different than most, and some of the things I said you would normally not learn too quickly unless you got a good answer from someone else on the internet from a question such as "How come you can bridge so fast" or something to that extent. A lot of these things though aren't learned too quickly and I know that can discourage a lot of players.

Umm, that one would be little too much work, don't you think?

Yup - do it in PHP - maybe even add to each review's page for interest sakes.

this is all fine and dandy.
but I just have one question: why? so you wrote a big review, pat yourself on the back and call you god. Fact of the matter is that UFO - Enemy Unknown, the most popular game on this site, has about 14 to 16 sentances. In fact most games in the 'most popular' list don't have huge reviews. Just wanted to ask that; why bother? Except for serving as a gadget, it will only intrest the person who is the recordholder (or the person who wants to become a recordholder) I myself have always been more for short, but to the point, reviews.

Sure, but it wouldn't hurt to have, so if it adds to the experience then the question is "why not?"

I think that the interests of "users" are not long reviews they can't read in 10min! User wants a short description of game he is about to download.
BTW if you want to discuss about the game more there's forum thread always awailable. My advice is: "Don't write, for god sake, long reviews!" Hope no one will get mad. |
