But calling ANY phone that can go on the net and get emails a smartphone, is going too faar, since almost any new phn can do that today. Generaly i think that you know it when you got it. Installing programs should be one criteatia, aswell as some for of qwerty-keyboard. Smartphone is the combination of a PDA and phone, so go imagen

PDA's generally don't have keyboards at all (you can connect one always but not build in). For me a keyboard is not a requirement for a smart phone. Being able to install 3rd party applications is a good criteria.

Well, i just know that my Moto A925 (and the A920 and A1000) uses a qwerty-keyb. on the screen, where you write by either pushing the letters with your pen, or simply use the free-hand option that translates your writing into letters.
The Moto A925 uses UIQ-system, as do the SE P8/9xx-series. Touch-secitive screens are a must realy, as other input-devices would be just too bulky. Shure, you can always use a BlueTooth keyboard or mouse (if supported), but you need to carry that around also....

Hello, I know something you can use to play LEC adventure games on a Pocket PC. I don't know if it just works on a Pocket PC but it's the only PDA thing I have. It's like ScummVM but it's called ScummPocket. It works almost the same but the load/save and options thong is down the bottom. I'll look for a screenshot. I don't know where to download it. I'll look for a link later.

I have PDA...don't use it much....PD's are going to die, and give in to portable gaming devices like PSP's and NintendoDS, Nintendo DS for example already has wi fi chatting, so internet probly isn't that far from the future...
