Like running two emulation, one inside the other one.

Yo TaloN,
you should run DosBox by self, as this program supposed to get to work your sounds on XP/2K/NT OSes.

Or you can run games using VDMSound.

There is no need to run DOSBox with VDMSound.

using dosbox activated by running VDMS with it - had sound and graphics
ran aagain with DOSBOX- had sound and graphics :S

deinstalled, reinstalled and it worked fine in DOSBOX....

but then....

i tried running Discworld with Dosbox running under vmds as ive never got it running with sound and graphics before.

Try to use D-Fend with DosBox (there is a link on DOSBox web site).

With this front end you can customize all settings per game.

All you have to do is start game, if sound does not work, exit it, change settings in D-Fend and try again...

DOSBox already use VDMSound built in, so it's kind of useless to use it with DOSBox.

Rename the directories of those games so they have 8 characters max and try to mount them again. And be sure not to put spaces in them.

No punctuation either. Just use basic, short names. For instance, if i was running settlers 2 gold, i extract to something like:
C:\S2G
Something like this wont work:
C:\documents and settings\administrator\desktop\bob's things\games\settlers 2 gold

I have graphic, but i haven't got sound... I tried use DOSBox, and VDMS. When I use VDMS i have error:
QUOTE("16-bit undersystem MS-DOS")
Quote:
G:\...\Temp\~VLP14D3.PIF
G:\...\Temp\~VLP01C1.NT This system file is not prepared to use application systems MS-DOS or Microsoft Windows. Choose button "Close", to end work of application.[/b]
*
What could it be?

*-I tried to translate this comunicate, because I have Windows in other Language version.

First: do not resurect old threads from the death.

Second: your problem is not only not related at all to the thread you posted in, but you are requesting information on the most documented and most solved problem in this whole forum.

I am not quite amused...
