You can read all about the abomination that was Super Mario Bros. - The Movie, here, if you feel so inclined....
...What always amazes me is how Dennis Hopper, who's such a brilliant actor, always ends up in such abysmal films. Apocolypse Now this ain't. Personally, I'm absolutely, totally and utterly excited for the Hollywood film-version of Pong! It will have everything, love, hate, revenge and redemption - all told through the wacky adventures of a single bikini-clad pinging ball in New York city

Dennis Hopper can do what he likes, 'cause he was in Space Truckers. After that, there's just no need to try anymore. As for the Mario Bros. film, I saw it when I was a kid and liked it. Even my mother liked it, the crazy old bat. Bob Hoskins rules.

Dennis Hopper could do anything he wanted to, until he showed up in Waterworld... heartbreaking, 'though I forgave him after he popped up on the most recent Gorillaz album on that "Fire coming out of a monkey's head" song.
