I've just got Starcraft (and Broodwar), and I have a problem. After finishing mission 1 for Terrans (not the tutorial, and it's in the normal Starcraft -not BW), I see the stats, click OK and then Windows makes that sound like when an error appears on screen and the game stops responding. The problem is that I do not know what error it is. I cannot ALT-Tab out of the game, and can only press the Windows key to get to the Start menu and close the game with Windows Task Manager. I did a search on this forums and on Google, but got nothing regarding this problem. I also tried disabling various acceleration settings in DirectX, but that didn't solve it. Could anyone help me? Thanks!

You should ask blizzard for help.

Well, I think I have found something on their support site, but I really would have not liked to reinstall both games and redownload the 1.14 patch. Oh, well, I'll try. Wish me luck. If I won't manage, I'll post here. Thanks Data!

Nope, reinstalling and applying the latest patch did nothing, and CDCheck says that both CDs are okay. Here is my character. Thanks Data!

It's not video codecs. I can see the intro and all of the other movies. And I don't think it's the GFX card drivers either. If those were the problem, then the game should not have worked, but it does and I can start any map I want and any mission I want, except for that one.

@Duss T.: Yes, but nothing helped me.
@Saphire: Say what? Oh, you mean RAM? 448MB. |
