September 15, 2005 - Telltale Games announced last night it had purchased the rights to Sam and Max from LucasArts only days ago and are beginning development on it, according to Adventuregamers.com. The game will be an all-new version, not the one cancelled by LucasArts last year, and Steve Purcell, now working at Pixar, is said to be working as closely as he can with the project. The Telltale team has extensive experience at LucasArts, and Purcell chose them to head up the project. The game will be released episodically, as with their recently-released game based on the cult favorite Bone comic books. Further details are scant at the moment, but as soon as we know more, you'll know more, so stay tuned! original: http://pc.ign.com/articles/651/651142p1.html |

Bone is turning out to be a bit of a letdown. The price is good, but in return you get about 4 hours of gameplay... which is angering quite a few gamers.
Anyway, it's good to see Sam & Max got back to the initial crew (Telltale games was created by the group behind the cancelled Sam & max game, they quit from Lucasarts after their canceled the project)
