They're not making good adventures any more, because it's hard to make you go buy a new computer or some extra RAM with a point'n'click. Instead, gaming industry releases a new FPS every few days, continuously boosting the minimal requirements. Maybe I'll play Doom 3 in the next decade, like I now play games from the nineties.

Anyway of course I would like to see more point and click adventures...I just REALLY dont know why there are so much fuss about graphic.I dont have computer strongh enought to handle Half-Life2 or Doom 3 and I wont get it,until absolutly neccessary, becouse,as I know myself, I would so or so ended with playing oldies in Dosbox...And that would be a waste of money...

That's a problem with the industry today, if a company tries to make this sort of game, they are taking a risk if it doesn't sell that well, that one game could end up hurting the company, maybe even to the point of shuting down, with economic costs rising, it's a shame to see.

Everyone is talking about 3D graphics, but I ask you, has anyone heard of cell shading. It's also a modern graphics technology, with a 'cartoony' look, almost perfect for adventures...
And where is it used? In FPS games, talk about market logic...

you mean cel shading - it only has one L for some reason. viewtiful joe and zelda - the wind waker aren't FPSs and make good use of it.

I agree those were really 2 well games that made real good use of cel-shading.
