hi everyone, this site rocks!!!

anyways, i just re-installed winxp and updated to sp2 but it seems to have screwed something up and i couldn't use vdms anymore whenever i try to run it it says that there is an error or something about an invalid ******.pif.
any ideas? thanks everyone

It's because of the Service Pack 2, I would say. I installed it not long ago too and many of my programs I used before without problems stopped to obey now. <_<
So I removed it again. No problems now.

Hmm. I haven't got any problems with service pack 2. The only annoying thing, is all the warning popups windows now makes. If I'm not wrong, VDMS is somekind of emulator for old sound systems. If you use it to run old dosapps with sound, try to run it in Dosbox instead. On my computer that runs fine with service pack 2. k:

I actually think dosbox uses VDMS, but I'm not sure. Hmm, weird

thanks guys, i heard from someone too that even though on sp2 their VDMS works just fine... i guess i just got the sucky end of the stick
